CREW requests GSA records on Trump Old Post Office liens

CREW requests:

1. Copies of all documents, including communications related to liens filed against the Trump Old Post Office, LLC or the Trump International Hotel Washington, DC, from November 9, 2016 to the present.

The requested documents would shed light on whether Trump Post Office, LLC is complying with the requirements of its lease with the U.S. General Services Administration.

On March 23, the GSA determined that the Trump Post Office, LLC is not in violation of its lease with the GSA, despite the fact that Section 37.19 of the ground lease provides that “[no] elected official of the Government of the United States…shall be admitted to any share or part of this Lease, or to any benefit that may arise therefrom,” and as of January 20, 2017 President Donald Trump still maintains an interest in the Trump Post Office, LLC.
