26 Oct 2007 // Today, Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) filed a response to the White House's objections to the preservation order recommended by Magistrate Judge John Facciola. The White House objected to the entry of any order, despite its refusal to give adequate assurances that all necessary back-up copies of the millions of deleted emails are being preserved, and objected to that part of the order that requires the White House to maintain back-up copies in a manner that makes them usable. In its response, CREW identified a number of critical questions still unanswered, including the time period covered by the back-up tapes that the White House is proposing to maintain.
