Visitorgate? NARA Withholds WH Visitation Records

6 Dec 2006 // Responding to a FOIA request concerning the issue of White House visitation records sent to it by Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW), the National Archives and Records Administration has withheld a number of documents pursuant to FOIA exemption 5. CREW believes NARA is in a policy dispute with the White House about these records--any thoughts NARA has on the issue have been withheld in their totality--I look for a lawsuit from CREW to be forthcoming.
